Kaeso 0.5.2 lets Claude Code and Codex work with models that list no effort levels or don't reason, instead of failing those requests. Kaeso now leaves out the unsupported effort or adaptive thinking and reports it in the `kaeso-left-out` header, while an unsupported effort value or enabled thinking still returns an error. Fresh installs start with KPMR's models and prices as of 2 November 2026, and four DeepSeek models now refuse JSON schemas before sending. There are no breaking changes in this release.

## Geändert

### Gateway

- A fresh install starts with KPMR's models and prices as of 2 November 2026, which add OpenRouter's `openai/gpt-5.2-chat` and update several OpenRouter prices and limits. `deepseek-flash`, `deepseek-v4-pro`, `deepseek-v4-flash` and `deepseek-v4-flash-vision-exp` no longer list structured output, so Kaeso refuses a JSON schema for them before sending and names `response_format`, while JSON mode (`json_object`) works as before. Running installs get the same data from KPMR on their own. ([#581](https://github.com/logicplanes/kaeso/pull/581))

## Behoben

- Claude Code and Codex now reach models that list no effort levels or don't reason. Kaeso leaves out the effort (`output_config.effort`, `reasoning.effort` or `reasoning_effort`) or adaptive `thinking` that the model cannot use, and names it in the `kaeso-left-out` header. An effort outside the model's levels, and enabled thinking or a budget for a non-reasoning model, are still refused. ([#580](https://github.com/logicplanes/kaeso/pull/580))
